Geogrid secures reinforced slopes and retaining walls with permanent steel mesh
The Secugrid® m3 Steel P system combines high-strength geogrid reinforcement with permanent steel mesh facings to construct durable reinforced soil structures with inclinations up to 90°. This system offers design flexibility, accommodating various wall geometries and aesthetic preferences to meet specific project requirements. Secugrid® geogrids are installed in conjunction with steel mesh facings, providing robust structural stability for applications such as retaining walls, embankments, bridge abutments, and noise barriers. The use of permanent steel mesh facings facilitates quick and efficient construction, while the adaptable design allows for the incorporation of different facing materials, including vegetation and natural stone, promoting environmental sustainability. This approach not only ensures high load-bearing capacity but also enables the use of site soils, including cohesive types, optimizing project economy. The Secugrid® m3 Steel P system is ideal for projects requiring durable and aesthetically versatile reinforced soil structures.
Naue Steel P system for reinforced slopes and reinforced walls
The Naue Steel P system combines Secugrid® geogrid reinforcement with longterm (permanent) steel-skin facings to create reinforced soil structures amenable to numerous slope shapes. Vegetation is allowed on slopes up to 70°. For steeper slopes on which vegetation is desired, special plantings and irrigation are necessary.
For Naue Steel P, the Secugrid® primary reinforcement is fastened to the steel shells (e.g., L-shaped wire forms) to create a strong interface. To prevent soil erosion along the galvanised steel facing, Secutex® nonwoven filter geotextiles or Secumat® erosion control mats are used. The Naue Steel P system for reinforced slopes and reinforced walls is highly adaptable to project-specific requirements and geometries, resulting in economical solutions supporting natural vegetation.
