Free software for the design of base course thicknesses
Geosynthetics manufacturer Naue offers an update of its free software SecuCalc. The programme provides a simple online calculation of base course thicknesses on a PC or mobile devices after one-time registration without additional software installation.
The geosynthetics expert now offers free software for the calculation of base course thicknesses on his website.
An installation on the computer is not necessary as the Naue SecuCalc software is web-based (except the Giroud-Han version).
All you have to do is to register. After the successful registration, all software functions can be conveniently carried out directly on the SecuCalc website using a computer, tablet or smartphone.
By using Naue’s SecuCalc Software, you can design the required thicknesses for reinforced base courses in road construction as well as for parking lots, storage areas or similar applications.
Depending on the operational life of your infrastructure project, both deformation-related (rutting) as well as bearing capacity (EV2, CBR) design criteria can be defined. Based on these criteria, the thickness of the base course is determined.
Besides, the result of the calculation allows a direct cost comparison between Secugrid® & Combigrid® stabilised and reinforced base courses and conventional construction methods without geosynthetics. The basis for this are project-specific parameters and prices, which you can define yourself.
