Secumat^® Erosion control mat

Secumat^® 3D Mesh is the surface erosion control layer for exposed slopes and embankments. Its UV-stabilised three-dimensional polymer matrix reduces the impact force of precipitation, improves infiltration and holds topsoil, seeds and roots in place until vegetation establishes. The artificial root structure stabilises the soil surface; the geogrid-reinforced variant (Secumat^® 601 40/40 Q6 with integrated Secugrid^®) prevents surface soil clods from breaking away on large areas. As a soil skin / desert skin system with appropriate anchoring, Secumat^® protects slopes up to 75°.

In drainage channels, trenches and watercourses, Secumat^® protects bed and bank surfaces against erosive flow and supports a vegetated, filter-stable channel lining. On sandy or fine-grained banks, a Secutex^® filter nonwoven beneath the mat prevents wash-out of fines during high-water events (Secumat^® 601 201 combines the 3D mesh with an integral nonwoven for this purpose).
