Istniejący port awaryjny w Darßer Ort jest był niezbędny dla DGzRS, ale znajduje znajdował się w głównej strefie Parku Narodowego Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. Aby zakończyć trwający od dziesięcioleci konflikt między operacjami działalnością portowymi portu a ochroną przyrody, infrastruktura portowa musiała zostać przeniesiona, a Prerow okazał się strategicznie odpowiednią lokalizacją.

Seabed scour remediation at cruise ship terminal

At ABP Port of Southampton’s City Cruise Terminal, Naue geotextile sand containers have been installed to remediate scour holes in the harbour bottom and prevent further scour. Southampton is the cruise capital of the UK, with over 430 cruise calls departing from the port each year. The port is one of the busiest deep-water ports in the UK and can accommodate any size of cruise ship. The port is also home to the UK’s second largest container terminal.

The approx. 5.4 km long coastline of Scharbeutz, a popular tourist destination, features a wide sandy beach with a beach wall, promenade, road and buildings behind it. This stretch of coast is largely unprotected from storm surges from the northeast.

As a part of Singapore’s government’s response to climate change, a sustainable coastal protection structure is required. In the few stretches of the East Coast region, the geosynthetic sand container solution has been proposed to protect the eroded beach. For this project, Secutex® Soft Rock RS has been chosen.

In Spain, farmers increasingly struggle with seasonal rainfall fluctuations and prolonged droughts, making sustainable irrigation solutions crucial. To secure the water supply for their orchards, large-scale rainwater collection basins were constructed in Teruel and Lleida.

Base sealing system – Rainwater Harvesting Water Sustainability Project

With a surface area of 170,000 square meters and a depth of 10 meters, this artificial lake will be the first of its kind in India. It is being built to store one billion litres of rainwater over ten months, ensuring water availability throughout the year. The lake's construction relies on advanced technology, primarily Naue Carbofol® HDPE (high-density polyethylene) geomembranes, imported from Germany due to its exceptional durability and effectiveness in preventing water seepage.

The approx. 5.4 km long coastal strip of the city of Scharbeutz, which is frequently used by tourists is characterised by a wide sandy beach with a beach wall and a promenade, road and buildings behind it. This stretch of coast is largely unprotected from storm surges from the northeast. The coastal defences needed to be improved to protect the residents in this area. The state of Schleswig-Holstein subsidised this construction project.
