Green erosion control for strong banks: Secumat® Green randomly oriented filament layer
In the outskirts of Middelburg, an unvegetated watercourse showed signs of significant embankment erosion. Recurring runoff washed away material, causing the embankment flanks to become unstable. The banks had to be rebuilt to ensure traffic safety, flood protection, and ecological enhancement. At the same time, vegetation needed to grow quickly and be specifically supported during the sensitive establishment phase.

Portul de refugiu existent la Darßer Ort este indispensabil pentru DGzRS, însă este situat în zona centrală a Parcului Național Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. Pentru a pune capăt conflictului de zeci de ani dintre operațiunile portuare și protejarea naturii, a fost necesară relocarea infrastructurii, iar Prerow s-a dovedit a fi un amplasament adecvat din punct de vedere strategic.

The site, originally a tidal saltmarsh, now exhibits complex ground conditions. To ensure stable access roads and crane platforms, geogrid reinforcement was specified. Based on prior successful collaborations with Naue, Jones Bros Civil Engineering chose Naue Combigrid® and Secugrid® for the project.
