DepV-compliant sealing systems for landfills
Secudrain® is a drainage geocomposite used in landfill engineering for leachate collection, gas drainage and sealing layer protection. It is installed above the geomembrane in capping systems and beneath the recultivation soil. The drainage geocomposite removes precipitation-driven leachate. It prevents hydraulic head build-up on the sealing system. The BAM-approved RZ 331 grade meets DepV requirements for regulated German landfill engineering. Tensile strength of 18.0 / 28.0 kN/m md/cmd enables use in reinforced composite sealing systems on slopes.
Typical applications:
- Landfill capping systems: Secudrain® as drainage layer over sealing system to remove precipitation from recultivation soil
- Leachate collection drainage layer above liner in landfill base sealing systems
- Gas drainage beneath sealing membranes or structures: in-plane gas migration path for active and passive extraction
- Multi-layer sealing systems: leachate detection layer between double liner components
Advantages:
- BAM approval for German DepV landfill compliance
- Replaces granular drainage layer: 10,000 m² Secudrain® replaces approx. 3,000 m³ of mineral drainage material
- Three functions in one product (DIN EN ISO 10318): drainage, filtration and protection
- Long-term wave-profile creep resistance ensures drainage capacity over 100-year design life
