What is the Engineering Design Department (EDD)?

The EDD brings together Naue’s technical expertise around our geosynthetic systems — from reviewing the tender through design and BIM-ready installation planning to digital as-built documentation. It supports projects as product-related application engineering.

Does the EDD replace my designer?

No. The EDD complements the design and works in support of it. We provide product-specific engineering, designs and verifications for our systems; overall design responsibility — such as object and structural design — remains with the designer.

What services does the Naue Engineering Design Department (ED) offer specifically?

Technical support from application engineers, complete product documentation, product and consulting liability, training and on-site instruction, and digital as-built documentation.

Does Naue accept liability for its advice?

Naue holds direct product liability for the products. Where Naue takes on design services for our systems, it additionally stands behind them with consulting liability.

What does the as-built documentation include?

Survey, 3D as-built plans and their extension into a structure logbook with installation, delivery and product documentation (IFC), data from the site app and tracking information; third-party material can also be incorporated.

Does the EDD also support international projects?

Yes. The Engineering Design Department (EDD) supports national and international projects; project-specific requirements are agreed during the design phase.
