Through strict quality control, continuous monitoring, advanced manufacturing processes and certified management systems, Naue ensures reliable product performance for infrastructure, environmental protection and civil engineering applications.
From raw material analysis to manufacturing quality control and final product documentation, quality assurance is an integral part of Naue’s production process.

All incoming raw materials, fibres and components required for the production of Naue geosynthetics are subject to strict material analysis. Acceptance test certificates submitted by base material suppliers are reviewed and qualified according to Naue’s product-specific protocols.
During production, additional quality assurance measures are performed for all geosynthetics. The quality assurance department operates independently from production in both organisational structure and processes.
Material is released only after all defined quality reviews and checks have been completed and the required supporting documentation is available. When requested, an acceptance test certificate is issued according to ISO 10204.
These quality assurance measures are conducted according to the standards and guidelines applicable at the time. Continuous manufacturing quality control supports documented product performance characteristics and enables traceability from raw material to final product.

Naue geosynthetics are also subject to third-party quality process checks, typically carried out twice a year. Independent experts take test specimens from Naue production facilities and product inventories.
Product properties, production processes, the scope of manufacturing quality control and other relevant observations are tested and documented in detail. For project-specific requirements, independent experts can test defined product properties and certify the results.

Since December 1994, the geosynthetics development, production, sales and geotechnical engineering divisions of Naue GmbH & Co. KG have been certified according to ISO 9001. This certification is regularly validated through scheduled audits.
The integrated quality management system helps Naue understand and fulfil customer and project requirements. It also supports continuous improvement of existing products and services.

Naue’s integrated process management system also forms the basis for environmental management certification according to ISO 14001 and energy management certification according to ISO 50001. At some locations, these systems are externally certified.

CE marking is compulsory for the majority of geosynthetics. It confirms the conformity of a product with the relevant European standards for specific applications and functions, including separation, filtration, reinforcement, protection and drainage.
Naue implemented all necessary measures for CE marking on 1 October 2002. Application standards for geomembranes were published in 2004 and 2005, making CE marking mandatory for the sealing function from September 2006 and January/February 2007 according to the corresponding standards.
On 14 February 2006, Naue received the CE mark for Bentofix® geosynthetic clay liners and Carbofol® geomembranes. Naue implements CE marking requirements at all production sites, with external monitoring by a Notified Body.
