Naue is a regularly inspected and TÜV Nord-certified specialist company in accordance with § 62 AwSV. We hold the monitoring mark of the AK GWS (Groundwater Protection Working Group) for sealing systems in accordance with BAM guidelines, as well as the AK Tunnel (Tunnel Sealing Working Group) mark, inspected by STUVA. This ensures a consistent quality standard for our company and for the installation of sealing systems.

Laying and installation of sealing systems is the professional on-site placement, positioning and welding of geosynthetic barriers (geomembranes and geosynthetic clay liners) to create watertight containment. Naue supplies the material and installs it as a certified specialist company.

A specialist company in accordance with § 62 AwSV is inspected and certified by an accredited body (TÜV Nord in Naue’s case) to install, maintain and inspect facilities that handle substances hazardous to water. The certification is mandatory under German water law and is renewed through annual audits.

DVS-2212 is the German Welding Society standard for the qualification of plastic welders. It defines the training, examination and ongoing qualification of welders joining thermoplastic geomembranes. All of Naue’s welders hold current DVS-2212 certification.

Naue installs geosynthetic sealing systems in four areas: civil engineering, groundwater protection, landfill construction and tunnel construction. Each area has a dedicated page linked in the overview above.

Every seam is tested before the system is covered — typically by channel pressure testing under the applicable part of the DVS 2225 series. Naue issues a weld log, QA records and an as-built plan for each project.
