Naue is your expert partner for the installation of tunnel sealing systems. As a leading specialist in seepage water sealing (SWA), we rely on innovative geosynthetics and the latest technologies to ensure the highest levels of safety and reliability.

What are seepage water sealing systems (SWA)?
Seepage water sealing systems (SWA) are specially designed systems for sealing tunnels against infiltrating seepage water. These seals typically consist of a 2 mm thick Carbofol® tunnel membrane that acts as an umbrella seal. The incoming seepage water is drained without pressure via longitudinal drainage at the base of the structure, preventing water buildup.
In cases of highly aggressive seepage water (exposure class XA3), a single-layer geomembrane (KDB) is installed around the entire structure.

Why is sealing crucial?
An effective sealing system is essential to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of tunnels. Seepage water can cause significant damage to the tunnel structure if not properly drained. A reliable seepage water sealing system protects the structure from moisture and prevents costly repairs and maintenance. Additionally, it enhances the safety of tunnel users by minimizing the risk of water ingress and associated hazards.
