Geogrid secures reinforced soil structures with gabion facings
The Secugrid® m3 Gabion system combines high-strength geogrid reinforcement with flexible gabion facings to create robust and aesthetically pleasing reinforced soil structures. This system is adaptable to various project requirements, accommodating different soil conditions and geometric configurations. By integrating Secugrid® geogrids between gabion layers and anchoring them into the soil, the system ensures enhanced stability for applications such as retaining walls, embankments, bridge abutments, and noise barriers. The use of gabion facings allows for diverse design options, including the selection of various stone types and sizes, enabling structures to blend seamlessly into their surroundings. Additionally, the system supports the use of site-sourced materials, promoting cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability. With the capability to construct slopes up to 90°, the Secugrid® m3 Gabion system offers a versatile solution for both functional and visual requirements in civil engineering projects.
Naue Gabion system for reinforced soil structures
The Naue Gabion system for reinforced soil structures utilises Secugrid® geogrids to create reinforced soil structures with gabion fronts. Secugrid® geogrids are installed between the gabion layers and anchored in the soil.
The system is highly flexible for design and installation, adjusting to project-specific soil requirements and geometric shapes. This flexibility maximises project economics and aesthetic options. Depending on site needs, the erosion stability of the soil placed on the reinforcing geogrid construction can be ensured by the installation of a Secutex® filter geotextile behind the gabion layers. Slope inclinations up to 90° are possible.
