
Naue RetentionPond is a free online calculator in the Naue Portal DesignSuite for the stability design of lining and sealing systems in retention ponds and basins. It automatically checks the safety against slope-parallel sliding of the sealing system to DIN 1054 / DGGT recommendations, taking account of the subsoil (soil types) and optional design situations. Where the shear strength at the layer interfaces cannot carry the shear forces, it dimensions a Secugrid® geogrid as reinforcement against sliding, including its anchorage, and it recommends the required Secutex® protection and Secudrain® drainage layers - so the pond lining is stable, durable and compliant.
Naue RetentionPond is used wherever a lined pond or basin has sloped sides that must be verified against sliding and where the protection, drainage and reinforcement layers of the sealing system need to be specified.
A guided form captures the pond slope, the subsoil and the sealing system, checks the sliding safety to DGGT and - where needed - sizes the reinforcement, anchorage and the protection and drainage layers, with the option to save the calculation to a project.
